Renaissance design is a multidisciplinary creative agency, which specialises in the conceptualising and design of modern ancient African inspired Patterns for various brands. Our services include creative consultancy and our projects have extended into the fields of Interior, Fashion, Product design and custom design services for corporate & hospitality brands. 

Founded by Glorinah Khutso Mabaso, an academic multifaceted design thinker with a passion to re-awaken the ancient cultural knowledge on the African continent. She has taken on the challenge of becoming the mouthpiece to the ancient world using design as her chosen language.

We believe in the preservation of African history, through creating modern visual archives and documenting the continent’s heritage and wealth which lives in its people, ancient tribal sounds, textures, patterns, dance, architecture and natural surroundings. Every Pattern designed has a story which was related verbally but when translated visually, the impact tends to have an emotional and sometimes spiritual effect.

Our signature style is rooted in neutral palettes, geometric patterns, the careful use of colour and simple lines. This is our vision of the DNA required to establish the ultimate AFRICAN RENAISSANCE…
